Epson glossy photo papers: Opinions on 3 types of paper

Epson has so many ranges of photo papers it is sometimes difficult to navigate. Some are considered professionals, others are easily in supermarkets. There are all the awards for papers that seem very close. I'll talk about the three photo paper Premium Glossy photo, Glossy photo and Ultra Glossy. It is difficult to speak of paper because it is very subjective and it depends a lot on the printer. I have an Epson 3880 and this is only my opinion.

The first Glossy photo paper 225g/m2: This is a paper that found easily, even in supermarkets. It is often on sale. A pack of 20 A4 sheets costs about 9 €. I think this paper has a very good value for money. When compared to the Premium Glossy photo paper has a weight of 255g/m2 and sold 50% more expensive rendering the difference is not obvious and the weight difference is barely visible. I wonder why pay more for a paper that barely better than non-premium version. If you want a paper with a very different report then choose to Ultra Glossy 300g/m2. This paper has a better performance and greater rigidity, it is more precise but more difficult to calibrate. Generic profiles of this paper are difficult to find and are not always included with an Epson printer. Therefore do is even. It should also like rendering Ultra Glossy is really brilliant. It is double compared to Glossy photo paper. In any case, one thing that I rarely buy Epson paper that they print their logo on the back of the paper, which I find quite ugly and it is the case in these three papers.
